FAQ

How to place an order?

  1. Send the text to be translated to info@inpolacco.it, providing the due-by date, or contact me by phone to discuss the details of your project.
  2. You will get a free quote in response.
  3. Once you approve the quote, you will receive an order acceptance confirmation.

How much does translation cost?

The price of translation services is determined individually for each project, depending on the type of translation, the language pair, the preferred deadline, the field, the difficulty of the language in the source text, the format of the source file, etc.

Quotes are based on one standard page of the source text, which is 1800 characters with spaces.

How long does it take to complete a translation project?

The time required to complete a translation project depends on the volume, the format, and the subject matter of the source text. This time is counted from the day after the day when the order is placed.

My standard capacity is 5 standard pages (1,250 words) translated per day. I also offer an expedited option, which involves a rate of at least 150% the standard rate and up to 10 standard pages (2,500 words) translated per day.

Will I get an invoice?

Yes, of course! Every client gets an invoice (the invoice is VAT-free due to exemption from VAT).

Do I have to pay in advance?

No. I’ll send you the invoice once I complete your translation project. However, I may request an advance payment in the case of bigger projects.

How can I pay for the translation service?

I accept bank transfers and PayPal payments.

Do the provided services include certified translations?

I’m not a sworn translator according to the meaning of the Polish Act on the Profession of the Sworn Translator. I am, however, entitled to certify my translations in accordance with the regulations in force in Italy. Such certification will be recognized in Italy but may not be recognized by public administration institutions in Poland. For this reason, it is important to verify the kind of certification a certain office or institution requires before you place an order for a certified translation.

Do the provided services include interpretation?

No, I provide translation services only.

Is the translation done with the use of machine translation tools?

No, I translate texts without the use of machine translation tools (e.g. Google Translate). In my practice, I use advanced computer-aided translation software such as SDL Trados Studio and MemoQ, which helps me accurately analyze source documents to provide detailed and precise quotes, control the quality of my translation, and keep the terminology used consistent within a given project.

Are my documents kept confidential?

Of course! All documents and personal data are treated with utmost care and kept confidential at all times. I am also happy to sign a separate non-disclosure agreement if necessary. Regardless, it is always a good idea to make documents anonymous before sending them for translation.
